Emails disappeared on both iPad and iPhone

in the inbox on both my iPad and iPhone all my emails disappeared between May 20 and June 8. There are junk emails and trash emails from those dates but none that I kept / would NOT have deleted. One instruction was to go to settings, mail, accounts, “days to sync” but that option does not appear on my page. I have version 17.5.1.

I didn't delete the email as it was for an item i purchased that had not yet been delivered. Hw can I get those emails back. Missing emails Yesterday I discovered that most of my emails have disappeared. When I looked closer I realized that I have all my emails from 2023, but anything from December 31, 2022 and older is gone until sometime in 2016. Has anyone else had this happen? Deleted and sent items are not affected. This is happening on my phone as well as on my desktop in the Mail app. Help!

disappearing emails My emails have disappeared from my iPhone SE (2nd generation), my MacBook, & my iPad Air. The only emails showing are the most recent 5. I’ve deleted my email account & put it back on each device, but it hasn’t helped. Can anyone help me, please?
