But is this PC/Desktop on a PC or in your Home folder?
I should've asked what App you're scanning with, it may just need Full Disk Access...
Controlling app access to files in macOS - Apple Support
What exact Path are you trying to save it to?
Click on the Slect Folder & navigate to the Desktop if that is what you want...
I am attempting to save it PC/Desktop. It worked on my previous iMac that had Sonoma 14.5 but my new iMac with the same OS is giving me the Access Denied message. It says I don’t have access to the folder. Thanks for your reply.
I'm using Brothers iPrint & Scan that came with my printer. After I scan the document, my options on iPrint & Scan are to Save to PC, Scan to Cloud Service, Open in Application or Attach to Email. When I've scanned before, I would click on Save to PC and the default location would be to my Desktop. I would select the file type (JPEG, PDF, PNG or TIFF). The document is usually a photo so I would select JPEG. The document would then appear on my Desktop. Now after taking the above steps, I click on Save and instead of going to my Desktop, I get the error message mentioned previously. Hope that helps. I'm not particularly sophisticated with this stuff. Thanks again.
