15 Pro Max photo &video SSD product question

Would like to verify that the LaCie 1TB Mobile SSD Secure USB-C Drive;

Will in fact, store all my photos and videos that are taken with this Apple 15 pro max.

Would store securely and totally separate and independent, from this (15 Pro Max) phone, without having them located in my phones files..

As a reference. for my Apple 11 pro; I currently use a ;

SANDISK, iXpand” Flash Drive Go, to keep and store all photos and videos taken with my Apple 11 Pro.

Both my Apple phones and Apple iPads are used for editing and creating videos which I share with family and friends.
