The only way to get a genuine Apple battery is make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop.

In order to get an official Apple battery, you need to get it replaced at an Apple Store or Apple authorized service center.

This sounds as if the shop did not have the correct battery that you need in stock. The shop that I use will order the battery that I need and then notify me when it is in stock. It only takes about 30-45 minutes to install the new battery and you can go grab some lunch during that time.
If the shop is not providing the service that you need, take the phone to another authorized shop.
otherwise it’s probably fake..
