internal hdd as external drive in icy box

I have this old MacBook pro where I've removed the internal hard drive and put it into an icy box. But when I connect the icy box to my Mac mini, all I can see is the bootcamp-portion of the old drive (which is only approx 30 gb of the total 500 gb). Anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

MacOS not showing up on disk utility I accidentally deleted my MacOS through my bootcamp. I was able to reinstall MacOS and in process had to delete my bootcamp but everything seems to be on the partition I had for the bootcamp so I am missing half of my internal drive. If I reboot in recovery I can see MacOS in the disk utility but it only shows it holds 2GB. How can I get MacOS back on my disk utility with my full capacity?

Bootcamp starts Windows after downloading without letting me allocate partition Earlier today I was installing Windows using Bootcamp Assistant. I’ve followed the guide and everything is going well until my iMac restarts by itself then boots up the Windows Installation without letting me allocate a partition beforehand. when I was on the Windows Setup it shows three drives, one is my external USB harddrive which was used to install Windows, second was my iMac drive, third was a random drive that contains only 200MB of space. at this point I realized Bootcamp Assistant did not allocate any partition at all, so now I’m stuck and cannot boot up my MacOS and can only boot up Windows which I cannot install either since Bootcamp did not create an allocation. If anyone can be of assistance, I would be really grateful.

launch disk Utility and use the tiny View menu to 'show all devices'.

then you can see the state of the device, and whether it thinks it has a Mac partition.

the [possible] bad news:

If you EVER executed ANY Windows-native disk utilities, like fdisk, on that device, it automatically "FIXES" the defects it finds in the partition map. Its "Fixes" pave over the Mac partition, leaving it in accessible. Windows is not a pleasant guest.

Sometimes macOS won't automatically mount an external macOS boot volume especially if Filevault is enabled. You can try to manually mount the external macOS volume by using Disk Utility.
