Lost/Never Set Password to iPhone Backup (PASSWORD WERE NEVER SET FOR BACKUP ENCRYPTION)

Lost Password to iPhone Backup

Actually, I don't recall ever setting one. Now however, I have a new phone and cannot restore it from the backup, as there it prompts me for a password I don't have! I tried all the ones I've used for my iPhone and pretty much every other one of which I can think, all to no avail. I need the data in the back up. But I can't get to it. I've already tried the keychain route to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would need my data so badly!

Thanks a lot!

I read this before, and thanks. The problem is, that when I made the backup from my iphone 13, I went after the store, made the trade in, went home with the new phone, and it asked for a pass. So i am not able to delete the locked backup, and do a new one, due to the reason that i don’t have the iphone13 anymore.
And I don’t believe at the same time that there is no solution for this. Simply it makes no sense. I didn’t did any password lock on this ever.

I got the answer from the support that sometimes the system puts lock on the backup if the backup process got some failure.. lol.
but i was sitting infront of the computer and it didn’t show any problem. The backup went smooth and when it finished I unplugged the phone and brought to trade in thinking all good and fine. Without the encryption box signed in.

I would never recommend trading in the old phone until I had the new phone fully set up and working— then part with the old phone.

thanks but you didn’t get the point.
i no longer have the old phone. that’s why i can’t do this method. The girl was offering it in-store but i didn’t have time to wait for 200gb to copy.
that is why i did the backup on my mac earlier that morning. Which got locked while i didn’t set up any password.

Actually I did get the point

Was sharing from my own recent experience.

As for them ( Store ) offering to Transfer from one to the other at Store >> 20 - 20 Hindsight

iPhone Backup to the computer do Require the User ( you ) to have made a Purposeful Action to have Encrypted the iPhone Backup

By Default - it does Not

Your backup isn't encrypted by default. To encrypt a backup in the Finder, the Apple Devices app, or iTunes for the first time, turn on the password-protected Encrypt local backup option. Backups for your device will automatically be encrypted from then on. You can also make a backup in iCloud, which automatically encrypts your information every time
