Removing access to the pull-down bar
How do I remove the pull-down bar or the shortcuts to Airplane Mode, Data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth from the pull-down bar? A thief having access to these renders the phone unfindable.

Go to Settings/Face ID & Passcode, enter your passcode, and turn off the switch for Control Center.
This will prevent the Control Center from opening when the phone is locked. You cannot block it when the phone is unlocked, but if a thief can unlock your phone you have much bigger problems.
But to be realistic, if your phone is stolen you are not going to get it back. Even if you could find it, what would you do? Confront the thief? People have been murdered doing that. But most likely if you could track it you would find it in Shenzhen, China in a few days. That’s where stolen phones get sent to be repurposed in huge factories devoted to “processing” fenced electronics.
