I have received more than 10 verification codes in the last 48 hours to my cell phone number than I am not requesting. What do I do?

I have received more than 10 verification codes in the last 48 hours to my cell phone number than I am not requesting. What do I do?

Somebody may have mis-entered their number with yours when they set up an Apple ID. There's nothing you can really do about that.
Alternatively, your account could be compromised and somebody is trying to sign into it. The two factor authentication system is protecting it as it should. Change your password.
