WordPress Site Not Loading Properly on My Older MacBook Pro - Need Assistance

Hi everyone,

I'm a blogger who manages a WordPress site, and I've recently encountered an issue where my site isn't loading properly on my older MacBook Pro. Here are the details:

  1. Mac Model: MacBook Pro (Mid 2012)
  2. macOS Version: macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
  3. Browser Used: Safari and Chrome (I've tried both)
  4. Issue Description: The WordPress site either fails to load entirely, takes an unusually long time, or displays incorrectly formatted content. Other websites load without any issues.
  5. Website: A site on Wordpress.

  6. Steps Taken:
    • Cleared browser cache and cookies.
    • Restarted my MacBook Pro.
    • Checked for any macOS and browser updates.
    • Tried loading the site on other devices (works fine on my iPhone and iPad).
    • Disabled browser extensions.

Additional Info: The problem seems specific to my WordPress site. I've also tried using a different Wi-Fi network, but the issue persists.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with an older Mac? Any suggestions on what might be causing this and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

La***Rai

Given there have been issues as certain macOS versions

& their third-party browser support wains; you may have

to see if your configuration might support Catalina 10.5.7.

Some of these expect to find a non-rotational SSD rather

than a rotational HDD. And an upgrade in hardware could

require preparation, Firmware updates might be needed.

Mojave 10.14.7 won't see any needed updates to 3rd pty

browsers; that's what could help you somewhat. Later

+ more secure browsers can help online access.

There's only so much might be gained if your situation

could support self-encryption; such as "Lets Encrypt"

new/revised Certificates may allow. ie Chains of Trust.

Your device or computer has generic control settings

to look into and change local access; also involves

online access with certificates as an overlap.

Its probably better to have options where a newer macOS

is considered; with an ability to start up the Mac from older

system, is great with advance planning so it will work.

I'm in between offline and online, indoor and outdoor jobs

at this time, so nothing is definite with a lot of grey areas!
