I was hoping after today we would get an announcement on when final cut camera was coming out. Has anyone heard anything?

Won’t come before FCP 2 for iPad. Should be within the next 10 days. There’s a lot more platform software on Apple’s plate this week. A lot of stuff to push out to a lot of people.
The camera came out today. I found it to be very underwhelming. The video camera that comes with the iPhone is better at this point.
Here's a demo from Ripple showing multicam recording with the new Camera.
But you can buy 4 iPhones and an iPad and do multicam shots!
FWIW, I would just record the several cameras and then import and edit the multicam project in FCP for the Mac.
This is my personal opinion. I take casual photos with my iPhone, but I don't think I want to take photos with an iPad. If you want to take high-quality photos, use a mirrorless camera.
When I watch Ripple's demonstration, I can only smile bitterly. Are there many people who want to go to the trouble of doing such complicated things to take multicam shots?
I was considering selling some of my devices until I learned about this exciting feature. I own an iPad Pro M1, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad Pro M4. This discovery has solidified my decision to retain these devices. Nonetheless, I do wish there was a method to connect extra cameras via USB.
Yes. Why can't we have Final Cut Camera multicam directly to a Mac?
Maybe that'll be in FCP9.
Are FCP and iMovie the last Apple applications that still use the 10.x version number system? I thought 10 and X were dead, if not it's past time to put them in their graves.
