Clearly your account has not been deleted. As stated in the email screen shot Activation lock has been removed from your device, this does not delete your account at all, and would not be possible to have done if Apple ID had been deleted as shown in the support document linked in my previous reply.

Activation Lock removal merely releases your device from the Apple ID its logged into and lets it be set up again with a new Apple ID if required. It does not itself delete the Apple ID.

It seems you are confusing "Deleting an account" with "Removal of Activation Lock". They are very different things.

Once Activation Lock has been removed, you can restore your iPhone and set it up again.

Did you use the steps provided here:

How to delete your Apple ID account - Apple Support

If you did, then it is apparent this had not been followed:

  • Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple ID account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can't sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted.

Since you can no longer sign out of your account and your device is now Activation Locked, you will need to follow the steps to remove the Activation Lock. This will require the original purchase receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple seller. A third party receipt will not be accepted:

If you are still unable to remove the lock by following those steps, then you will need to contact Apple directly.

There are two ways to remove an activation lock.

One is to sign out using the Apple ID and password signed into the device. If you have requested account deletion and this has been fully carried out, you cannot use that method. This is a service you would do yourself using your account information which Apple would automatically verify. If the account is now completely gone then Apple can't verify it to do the removal.

The other is to request an Activation Lock removal be done by Apple. That requires special criteria (namely you proving to them you are the true owner of the hardware). This does not involve your Apple ID. It requires you to prove to Apple's satisfaction you are the owner of a device. This may require you present them with the receipt for the original purchase of the phone from an Apple authorized store. Anything less may be rejected.

You may be able to do certain things with the phone until you run up against something requiring you to be the signed-in owner. I have seen people post here who say they have been using a secondhand phone for a while but then suddenly it required the signed in owner's information and they were stuck with a useless device. It's a ticking time bomb. Apple won't reach out and lock the device, but the activation feature is still present on the device and may take effect when you try certain things (I don't know which since I have never been in your position).

You can't.

If you failed to remove your Apple ID before it was completely deleted, then you can no longer do so. Apple warns of this when requesting the deletion of the Apple ID.

You will need to contact Apple Support directly, and see what they can do if anything.

I think may just have a shiny doorstop now. However, if you were able to get activation lock removed, then it sounds like your Apple ID may not have been deleted.

I ask again, what did you do to get your Apple ID deleted exactly? What steps did you follow?

If activation lock was in fact removed, then your Apple ID was not deleted, and your Apple ID would no longer be associated with your iPhone. You can restore your iPhone to factory settings and set it up again like new and enter a new Apple ID ir create one during setup.

i have two questions :
1- if i do reset my iphone will it be locked because my apple id is deleted

It should not. Since Activation lock has been removed, it is now removed from your Apple ID and released.

2- if i dont do anything about my deleted apple id will apple lock my phone and can i do the next ios 18

Also no. You have already done something. Activation Lock has been removed. Nothing else will apply to your device from that Apple ID now since its been entirely released from it.

You can upgrade to iOS 18 if you have a supported device, once it is released.
