Using iCloud for Windows

I currently have a PC with Windows 11. I also have Apple devices, an iPhone 11SE and an iPad 6th Generation, both of which I'm planning to upgrade in the near future. Has anyone successfully implemented iCloud for Windows? I want to sync my Windows Outlook calendar and contacts as well as my pictures on all three devices.

Currently I'm using iTunes for syncing my PC and my calendar(s) only. My contacts on the iPhone and iPad are synced with those in the Apple cloud and are not current. I don't use One Drive and 99% of my content is local.

What problems have any of you encountered?

Windows, Windows 10
