Why is the “restore is in progress” suddenly disappeared?

About last night, when i was charging my ipad, it turned off on its own so i unplugged and plugged it again and then it was okay. However, when it turned on again, it was asking for my password and such and then it turned off again and on again. When i checked the settings, the restore is in progress, 14gb will be downloaded after restoring your apps and data. The 2022 and 2024 pictures are ALL gone, the only pictures left are from 2023.

Then today, it keeps shutting down and loading, so I tried to delete some pictures and apps, hoping the other pictures would be downloaded. Unfortunately, when I deleted some apps and pictures, when I checked the settings, The restore is in progress is now gone. It disappeared.

I can’t seem to see the other 2024 pictures. I want to restore the pictures again but I dont know how. The pictures are also not in my icloud.

please can someone answer and help me. Im so desperate to restore all the other pictures 😭😭😭

As described, if you have been manually deleting photos from your iPad, deletions will have been replicated to iCloud. As is, it's anyone's guess what might or might not still exist.

When restoring a backup from iCloud, the process can take some time - more so if the iPad is not connected to its Power Adapter through the process (connection to external power will help to keep the WiFi connection active) and the iPad is unlocked.

Perhaps your best course of action would be to begin the restore process again:

Restore all content to iPad from a backup - Apple Support

Consider that if your Photos are synchronised with your iCloud Photo Library - and/or other files with iCloud storage - these are not included within the iCloud backup. These photos and files, where they have not been deleted, will simply synchronise back to the iPad after the restore process has finished.

Any files or photos that have been deleted may be recoverable from iCloud:

Delete and recover photos and videos on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Recover deleted files on iCloud.com - Apple Support

If i restore it again, would all the missing and current pictures will not be erased from my ipad? I just want my 2022 and 2023 pictures back. I need all of them. It seems they are not in my iCloud photos neither. Please help me to get them back.

Restoring your iPad from a backup will replace all data on the iPad with that of the backup. Assuming that pre-existing backup has not been refreshed/updated since your iPad was first restored, whatever is in the backup will be restored again to your iPad.

Any photos deleted from iCloud photos should be recoverable as previously described:

I checked my photos again now, and i noticed that the photos from my icloud is now in my photos. It is visible already in my photos because i think they are saved in my icloud. However, there are still missing pictures that has not been restored, after the “restore is in progress” has disappeared. How can i get them back? I need the pictures so much. Please help me. I need my 2024 pictures back please.
