Place for entering email account password

I have a few email account, one of them for gmail. They were setup a long time ago and worked with no issues until I changed something in Google. I wanted to get rid of the annoying "sign in with Google" popups. I followed the instructions below:

After this, Google keeps asking for the gmail password to be entered. I cannot figure out where I can do that in Sonoma. Could someone please where this can be done? Thanks.

Mac's Mail App is not as modern as iOS's Mail app, Many eMail providers now require a separate App Password different from your eMail password…

If it's an IMAP account, delete it in Sys Prefs Internet Accounts then use "Other" instead of gMail choice to add it.

Most likely biggest factor is using Other in Mail setup, then using a Browser that doesn’t have gMail PW stored init to get the App PW.

I also spent hours trying to solve this issue until I followed this video... It worked and my Gmail accounts are back on Mac Mail.

Give it a shot and good luck! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0WPw2TsTAY

Thanks, BDAqua. Maybe my question didn't have all needed info. I am using Firefox (if this matters) and Sonoma on an iMac (not the iOS email). My question has to do with Apple Mail on the iMac. With my prior OS (Mojave) I had a way of entering the password through Settings for each of my email accounts.

When I go to System Settings/Internet Accounts/Details, I can see the place to enter the passord for every email account I have OTHER than for gmail.

Does anyone know where the interface for Settings with Sonoma allows for entering the password for gmail or how can one enter that password? It was there, I do not know why it disappeared....

Thanks, BDAqua. I tested sending emails (through Apple mail) from the gmail email and asked someone else send an email to my gmail email. Everything appears to be working as expected. So unless gmail stops working through Apple mail, I will just ignore the request for password, if it comes up again. I cannot fight everything. Too many things do not work as expected and it gets too complicated, frustrating and time consuming. I wish I would have not purchased this new computer with Sonoma, but one cannot go back. I appreciate you trying to help.
