How can I sign out of current iCloud account and sign in with new one while the current account was created in a family?

I am not able to sign out of my daughter's current iCloud account and sign in with her new one. There is a button in settings on her MacBook Air that labels "Sign Out" but it is faded grey and won't work when I click it. She is almost 13 years old and I created her account and put her in the family, can she not sign out because she is "under age"?

iCloud logging out is not possible

When you can't sign out of iCloud, your iPhone or iPad is 99% likely to be limited by screen time. This is usually the case when parents restrict their children through parental control. Only the parent can disable screen time via Family Sharing and steps below.

Open Settings on the parent's iPhone or iPad

Navigate to Screen Time

Tap on the child's name

Choose 'Set off screen time'

Enter the screen time passcode and follow the steps on the screen

if this doesn’t work: you have to delete first the old account of your child:

From support.apple.com : “Move a child to another group using Family Sharing

Children under 13 years old must be part of a family group managed by a parent or guardian. To remove a child from one group, you or another guardian needs to invite them to join their group. Or, the current family organizer can delete the child's account.”

Invite the child to another family

Approve the request

Delete the child's account
