High CPU while Apple Music is open on WIndows

Hi,

i recently downloaded the new Apple Music App on Windows 11, so far i like it.

But it causes high cpu. Apple Music itself needs about 10-15% which is okay, i think decoding the lossless audio is intensive.

but also "network list service" and "network limitation" cause high cpu.

it only appears when apple music is open, so there is no problem with windows itself.

i7-12700h should also have more than enough power.

Any ideas?

Apple Music won't play songs on Windows 11 I'm using Apple Music on Windows 11. It loads just fine, but I can't play any of my songs (downloaded locally or not). I click on the play button and nothing happens while the song is stuck at 0:00. I dug into the processes using resmon (Resource Monitor) in Windows 11 and found that AMPLibraryAgent.exe is likely the issue. I analyzed the wait chain on AMPLibraryAgent.exe and found it has a number of threads stuck. The error on the wait chain is "One or more threads of AMPLibraryAgent.exe are waiting to finish network I/O. I'm guessing this is an issue with my specific network configuration (although everything else I use in my house works fine). I have a Ubiquiti network and have tried everything at this point including disabling firewalls, validating the router is not dropping any traffic, etc... I tested with another PC and found the same issue. Anyone else experience this or have any luck?

Apple Music slow/half playback speed after system sleeps Apple Music will sometimes, inconsistently, play back audio content (streamed or local) at approximately half speed after the system has been in sleep/suspend. The only fix is to restart the application, and I've experienced this issue on and off for about a year now. I unfortunately don't have any additional details to provide. Issues and Lags with Apple Music (July 2024) Has anyone been experiencing issues with Apple Music lately? Over the past few weeks, I've encountered persistent problems with music playback. For example, songs start playing but then stop after about 10 seconds. Sometimes they resume randomly, while other times they don’t continue at all. Additionally, there's a noticeable lag when switching between songs, which disrupts the listening experience. These issues are happening across all my Apple devices, including my Mac, iPhone, HomePod, and Apple TV. I’ve confirmed that at least five other people in my region are facing the same problems. We’ve all reported these issues to Apple Support, but their troubleshooting steps seem unrelated, such as checking for VPN usage and restarting devices. It's becoming clear that this is likely a server-side issue. Is anyone else experiencing similar problems with Apple Music? How have you dealt with them?
