This is ridiculous. Why can't we email photos from Photos? Select a group of photos but not an option to select email? Only airdrop, notes, text, etc.
Also can't start in email and select more than one photo??
Am I missing something?
Yes you can email photos directly from the photos app and Mail should be one of your options.

In the Share sheet of the Photos app, choose the More option by swiping to the left where it shows AirDrop, Notes, Messages, etc. Tap Edit and see if the option has been removed or needs turned on.

Thanks, but I now believe the issue was that I had chosen too many photos of a particular size. When I scaled back the selection Mail reappeared as an option.
