How to Save Videos Directly from iPhone to External SSD Connected to MacBook

I have an iPhone 15 and I want to save videos directly to an external SSD that is connected to my MacBook, and not directly connected to my iPhone.

I am using the BlackMagic Camera app, which can save directly to an external drive. Ideally, the MacBook's external SSD would appear as an option in the Files app.

Note: I never take videos away from my desk, so I will always have a USB connection to my computer when recording.

There are a few reasons for wanting to save directly to an external SSD connected to my MacBook:

• Save time removing the SSD from my computer (where there are always a few applications that are currently using the SSD) and connecting it to my iPhone.
• If using another external SSD dedicated to recording videos from my iPhone, save time unplugging that SSD from my iPhone and copying it to my original SSD on my computer

What I've tried:

• Using a file server in Files. This "works", but since it saves to computer's file system (and the external SSD) via the network and not through a USB connection, it is very slow and drops frames.
• Connecting via USB. It's very easy to see the File System of the iPhone on the MacBook, but very difficult the other way around. I have not seen any applications that allow you to see the File System of the MacBook on the iPhone.
• Streaming content directly to the computer using software (i.e. OBS), and another iOS application (i.e. iOS Camera for OBS Studio), but that over heats my iPhone very quickly (causing it to stop recording while it cools down), and it loses quality verses using a video recording app like BlackMagic Camera.

What are some ways I can accomplish this task?
