happens on iPhone and iPad since the 15.8.2 update. Also get this message in my car.
NOT a wifi issue as desktop computer, tv, sleep number, Alexa, etc are all working fine.
I have tried everything I can think of and still nothing, so PLEASE send another update with this issue corrected. I can’t be the only one having an issue with Siri. Thx

Never would I have ever thought the VPN was the issue.
I have been using it for months without any problems. Seemed like all of a sudden this popped up.
I have now deleted the VPN and Siri is now working.

This is not an Apple issue; if it was you would see thousands of posts about it. This is a problem with your device. As a first troubleshooting step restart your router. I know you said all other devices work, but restart your router anyway. A router can fail for just one device. (I’ll post the long answer if you ask).
The other possibility: Do you use VPN? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile.
One or the other of these steps will almost certainly fix your problem.
