Ricoh SP 210 su Printer configuration Issue

I have installed the printer successfully and when I hit for the Print, it shows the progress in the Printer Center and the job executes successfully and gets completed but the print does not come out. It shows the status properly but it does not work at all.

Please provide solution at the earliest. I am using MacBook Air M2. MacOs Sonama 14.5 with the latest updates.

Hi,

The Ricoh SP 210SU appears to be a USB printer with (GDI) drivers for Windows only. As far as I can tell, generic drivers (such as PCL) are not compatible with this very model. Unless you can find a printer driver for macOS, the use of this printer would require some kind of workaround.

One way could possibly be to connect the printer by USB to a Windows computer (since Windows drivers are available). You would then have to print/save as PDF on the MacBook Air, and then transfer the PDF files via a network or on a USB flash drive to the Windows computer for printing.

Sharing the printer from a Windows computer via a network would be completely experimental.

Also, could the SP 221 DDST driver (macOS Sonoma is listed), mentioned by aa3025 under the following topic, possibly be of interest?

If so, look upon this as an experiment. It may not work at all with your printer. As always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files before testing anything.
