Unable to login to Apple Podcasts Connect

TL;DR - Unable to login to Apple Podcasts Connect. After account set up I am sent back to the landing page to start over.

I have been working over the last few weeks to create an Apple Podcasts Connect account and have had the issue mentioned above. Last night I finally was able to get through, but this morning I am back to square one.

The process goes as follows;

Go to - https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/landing

Click “Get Started” and am taken to - https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/setup

After filling out the relevant information and clicking “Save” I am taken back to the first link. And round and round we go.

Last night I was able to get through somehow. I thought it was because I scrolled to the bottom of the Terms and Conditions before clicking “Accept,” but that doesn’t seem to work anymore.

I’m unsure what I can do. I have attempted logging in on multiple devices, all up-to-date, to no avail. Restarting, private windows, different browsers, and the like. I called Apple Support on five different occasions, with each support agent trying something new but ultimately telling me to wait and see what happens. At the very least multiple agents went through my apple ID and found nothing strange. One agent called it, “unremarkable.” The most recent call said that I need “Developer Support” and I would find that at the link above. When I mentioned that my issue is actually past that page I was told to wait and see what happens.

I’ve read multiple forums on this issue and haven’t found anything that quite describes my issue, or has given a solution that works in this instance.

Any thoughts or things I should try? Or even some way to get a hold of a division of Apple Support that can actually assist me? I’m currently finding Apple Support to be extremely fragmented, so I thought it was time to reach out here! I’ve sent a support ticket as well in hopes that some movement may happen on the backend.

Thanks,

R

Logging nto Podcasts Connect to submit a new podcast has been a problem for many people: indeed almost every post from people who are creating podcasts is about this rather than issue with their own podcast. As it's internal to Apple I can only offer the following standard advice, which may or may not help; there really isn't anything else I can suggest.

To start with, you do have to have an Apple ID and an Apple Music or iTunes (on windows) account.

It's become apparent that you cannot log into Podcasts Connect with a Developer ID - see below. You must have a payment method registered in Apple Music/iTunes: make sure your computer is authorised to play purchases (Apple Music or iTunes menu Account>Authorisations>Authorise this Computer). Then try logging in at https://podcastsconnect.apple.com. One poster found that going into 'private browsing' worked.

For help with the process of creating a podcasting account please see Create Apple Podcasts Connect account - Apple Podcasts for Creators

If this fails I would suggest reporting it Podcasts Support: https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/contact-us , though if you haven't been able to complete the submission you may not be able to access them: in which case the next step is to contact Apple Support: Support

Don't present this as a podcasting problem - they don't handle those and will refer you to Podcasts Support. Present the problem as being the inability to access Podcasts Support. It's also been suggested that getting them to look at your Apple ID may clear matters.

As to Developer IDs, Brian Ogilvie has discovered the hard way that you cannot use a Developer ID to sign into Podcasts Connect, and details the steps needed to create a new ID in this useful post.
