How do I turn off sync over air on iPhone?

I just want to sync my iPhone calendars and contacts with my MacBook when I am backing up my iPhone while connected with a USB cable. I do not want to use iCloud. When I go to the Info Tab, I get a message that my iPhone 13 is syncing Contacts and Calendars over the air / Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on your iPhone (with no clue on how to change this.)

I have gone to my iPhone in setting/name/iCloud and turned off iCloud and turned off the contacts and calendar options along with pretty much everything else.

I then go to settings/contacts/accounts (and settings/calendar/accounts) and each of my email accounts turned on in calendars (except iCloud that I do not use.)

I have turned my phone off and back on again.

When I go to sync, I get the same message. Nothing has changed.

Can someone explain where this mystery option to change over the air sync is located?

I am running Sonoma (14.5)

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14
