DFU OR IPSW RESTORE/CLEAN INSTALL?

Hello,

I am wondering what the deepest clean install/restore of iOS is. I don't want anything backed up, just the deepest clean install/restore of iOS and have a blank slate.

If I enter DFU mode and restore through my Mac, is that better (in the sense of having the cleanest install of iOS) than downloading the IPSW file to clean install if I want the deepest, cleanest iOS on iPhone? It seems restoring iPhone with DFU would also be easier since I wouldn't need to download the IPSW file.

I have been researching but I haven't found a definitive answer. I know how to do both methods, just want to know which method, like stated, will put the cleanest iOS on iPhone.

This is for an iPhone 15 Pro Max
