How to change white text that's appearing under each folder while naming it?

I want to change the white text that's appearing under each folder when I name it on my desktop. It didn't used to do this. Just realized in past day or 2 that it is now white. Did an update change this.

If you are referring to the color of the text that macOS assigns to the Finder file and folder names, then you cannot change the white font to another color. This has been the case for years now, and not because of anyupdate.
