Apple ID permanently disabled

I got a notification to say that my Apple if had been disabled in the App Store and iTunes. I contacted support online and by phone but no one could tell me why or how I could get access back

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17

You talk about two very different messages, so I am confused..


Did they actually say it was permanently disabled? If they did then it is exceedingly unlikely you will get access to the account again. You can contact Apple and ask.


An account that is simply disabled in the iTunes and App Stores is not permanently disabled. The support article If a message says 'Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes' - Apple Support says you must contact Apple for help if you see that message or one saying "You cannot login because your account has been locked".


This is not something you can fix yourself. Click or tap on this link provided by Apple to be put directly in touch with the people who can help you with this issue ➞ https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=kbase&PGF=PGF63005&category_id=SC0245&symptom_id=23362
