Audio applications pause when home screen locks

I have recently updated to an iPhone 15 pro max, and I seriously wish I hadn’t, as I’ve had no end of issues, such as delayed screen response. However, my latest problem is the audio pausing when my home screen locks across all applications, including random pausing on the Apple TV. It’s truly bizarre, and Apple support has been more frustrating than helpful.

If there is anyone out there who has resolved a similar issue I’d love to hear from you. I’ve tried resetting the phone and deleting and reinstalling apps.
