MacBook Pro, Sonoma 14.5, Pages 14.1. Since updating to 14.5, Pages no longer has a "Learn Spelling" option. (On the other hand, I can now use Spotlight to search within folders again. Thank you, Apple, for fixing that.) I do a lot of writing and often add words (locations especially) so the learn function is critical. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks.

I have all of the submenus in Pages > Edit > Spelling and Grammar deselected. When I enter a bogus work like catflounce it will briefly receive a red underline and as I continue to type, the red indication disappears. I can still right-click on catflounce and see the optional spellings, ignore, and learn spelling menu items.
Tested: Pages v14.1 on macOS Sonoma 14.5.
Thanks for the response. I have seen that process before but the problem arises when I'm in a different document. That's why I want to add words to my dictionary. However, today "Learn Spelling" is working, perhaps because I logged off yesterday and logged in again today. Perhaps I should have tried that before posting. Again, thanks.
