Error "This accessory may not be supported" When I try to charge my iPad

When I try to charge my ipad, I am getting a message: this accessory may not be supported. This happens each time I plug in my charging cable. I tried my hubby's cable and his charges my ipad. The cable has always worked fine and still is working for my iphone. Anyone know how to fix this? I did clean the port gently with a soft brush. No difference.

See >>> If you see an ‘Accessory may not be supported’ alert - Apple Support

If you are using a Smart (folio) keyboard, the alert is typical of a faulty folio keyboard. The electrical connections that pass through the flexible fabric hinges typically fracture - this usually resulting in errors and/or the on-screen notification that you see.
