Safari can now play 4K videos?

When did this happen? Just a few days ago i could not do that and was reading how Safari does not support VP9 codecs nor it is possible to get that option in Developer settings..

Safari YouTube only on 360p Hello I keep going on YouTube to watch videos, but the problem is over the past few weeks, I haven’t been able to change the HD quality. In the settings on YouTube, the videos had the option of 360p up to 720p. But now there is only 360p. I can’t enjoy watching videos if I can’t see them clearly. Please help me.
