Airprint does not show printer format after iPadOS update

Hello,

we have iPads for reprinting data on pre-printed A5 forms. We have been using a Konica Minolta bizhub C3100i printer for this for about 5 months now. We have 2 feeders in the printer, both set directly in the printer to A5 format. About 10 days ago, Airprint no longer shows the A5 format and so we cannot print.

This problem is on several tablets, in different networks.

I have tried the printer manufacturer's support, but the problem is apparently in the new iPadOS firmware. I have also tried discussing with Apple support, but so far no solution has been found even with the developers.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Thank you for your help

Have you ensured that your Printer has been updated to the most recent version of its firmware? Updating the Printer's firmware may update its supported version of AirPrint.

Some older printers are using a now deprecated version of AirPrint; recent versions of iOS/iPadOS are unable to properly communicate using earlier versions of AirPrint. If your Printer's firmware is the issue - and cannot be updated - you may still be able to print from your Apple devices...

Some printer manufacturers have a suitable companion App that provides Print capabilities for mobile devices, often using a web-based print service. Others can print directly if the App supports other network printing protocols.

You might also consider connecting an iPadOS-unsupported printer to a Windows PC or Mac computer - and install a “helper application” that allows the computer to emulate AirPrint capabilities. A further option might be to consider connecting the printer to an AirPrint Print Server - such as a Raspberry Pi computer running CUPS.
