App gets stucked on splash after updating from app store

When users update our app from the app store, it gets stuck on the splash screen. The only way to fix this is by deleting the app and reinstalling it, which is not ideal. Here’s the sequence of events:

1. The app is already installed on the device.
2. A new version becomes available in the app store.
3. The user updates the app through the app store.
4. The user opens the app, but it gets stuck on the splash screen forever.

Solutions like force quitting the app don't help. Only deleting the app and reinstalling the latest version works.

I want to find a solution at the code level to improve user experience. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Note: Our app does not use Core Data or any other database.
