AppleUserHIDDrivers hogging CPU

I am using macOS Monterey 12.7.5 on my Mac Pro 5,1 2 X 5690 CPUs.

I get constant slowdowns, and see the following are hogging CPU.

com.apple.AppleUserHIDDrivers (330)

UVFSService constantly hogging CPU

I do not turn off my machine at night, but put it to sleep so that housekeeping tasks can be done while the machine is dormant. I have only SSDs in the SATA slots for archives and Time Machine, and two boot disks on SoNNet adapter card: macOS and Windows 11 Pro boots on NVMe drives. The slowdowns do not occur in Windows.

What is going on, and what can I do about this?
