Safari 17.5 crashes as soon as it opens

I’ve run disk utility first aid, cleared pram, rebooted in safe mode and still cannot get Safari to stay open. Most of the fixes say to clear history or deselect extensions, but all these supposed fixes require Safari to be open and working. I have a fraction of a second between Safari opening and immediately crashing.
