I can use ChatGPT , it is working fine. But why is the integration with ai in the new os only for pro devices? Is this a new strategy of Apple. I mean, a money lurking one again? Or is this only cold water fear, and are they afraid to much errors will pop-up? Like with OS 17? What is your opinion?

This is because all the AI features in IOS 18 are carried out on-device. Only very complex queries are supposed to go out to a server to get processed for security reasons. So iPhone models that have a minimum of 8GB ram are only capable of running Apple Intelligence. Devices that will come out in September (iPhone 16 as well as the 16 Pro models) will support AI features.
