Imail on imac

I use icloud and hotmail with imail. I had some problems loading hotmail into the system but with the Apple helpdesk I managed to do it using exchange. From time to time I have a problem eliminating some but not all hotmail messages from my inbox. I get a message saying that the message "could not be moved to the mailbox “Exchange” The specified object was not found in the store., The process failed to get the correct properties.

I have had this problem before and solved it by restarting imail or it has just solved itself but this time it seems more stubborn

Would be grateful if someone can help me resolve this problem

Are you asking about the macOS Mail app? If so, try rebuilding the problematic Mailbox: Rebuild mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support.

I am not familiar with "imail". If it is a third party (non-Apple) product you should contact its developer. Perhaps they offer a similar feature.

By that I assume you removed the problematic Microsoft Exchange email account and added it again. Is that correct? If not, follow the numbered steps near the end of If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac - Apple Support.

That's all you can do. If the inability to move the message persists it's a problem with the Microsoft Exchange server. Follow the earlier instructions in If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac - Apple Support in an attempt to fix it on that end.

Same here! My problem with exchange is that the flag emails option is terribly wrong. For instance, I have 5 emails flagged for follow-up and it shows be 7. Tried everything, nothing works. Until now, I was only using IMAP but now it is randomly asking for the password. After days of searching, I was able to find that it is because of the oAuth 2.0 update. Microsoft and Apple (both!) should fix this.
