Homekit Questions before buying

I am trying to find out clear information. Everyone in my home is an Apple user but not able to be on a family share plan as everyone is an adult. Is there a way for using the Homekit for things like the video doorbells to make it a family unit? How do you manage the accounts like this?

iPhone 13, iOS 17

They can be invited users to share control of your Home and can be Adults. See: Share control of your home - Apple Support

To get started you need and Apple tv or HomePod that will be used as the Home Hub. The invited user will need to be using a device running the latest software or at least ios16.2 or macOS. Ventura. Older software won’t be able to accept the invites or use the Home App to control anything.
