Moving Photos library

I have a 2020 M1 Mac Mini 14.5 0.5TB that is running out of space. I also have a 2 TB external SSD drive attached that has 2 - 1 TB partitions, one of which is used as a Time Machine backup. About reports that there is 21.03 GB of 494.38 GB is available on the internal drive. I read a post that said I could drag the folder Users > bob > Pictures to an external drive. I did that but cannot find a way to access that library with Photos. How can I access that library on my external drive?

One more thing: that disk needs to be formatted Mac OS X Extended, Journaled or apfs.

Anyway to open the library you can just double click on it or hold the option key while launching Photos and you'll get a dialogue that will allow you to select the library in the new location.
