Turn Table to have audio output for whole floor

Goal: Have my turn table have audio connected to wireless speakers across the whole first floor of my house (max distance ~100ft).

My stereo attached to the turn table can provide optical audio output and I have an Airport Express and was thinking of getting a Homepod + Homepod Mini to place around my house. However, I can't seem to find a way to get the optical output of my record player to an airplay input for these speakers.

Is there some sort of converter or device that could connect with my optical audio output and convert it to something wireless speakers like Homepods could play?

Flow :

record player -> stereo -> optical output -> [fill in device/transmitter] -> airplay -> homepod speakers

the airport express will act as an airplay receiver and output the music out of it's jack connector

the homepod will act as an airplay receiver and output the music out of it's speaker

what you need is something that will act as an airplay transmitter but also support transmitting audio from a device connected to it (your turn table)

the only airplay transmitters I can think of are apple watch, ipod touch, iphon, ipad, appletv and computers

only way I can think of accomplishing what you wish to do, is to find a way to connect the turn table to a computer and have the computer play the turn table audio in while transmitting it to homepods and airport express, and whatever other airplay receivers you wish

for me it was too much work so I just got an sonos speaker with support for audio in and use that to play my records.
