Select all text in message from top to bottom of message even if it’s not visable

Is there a tap or shortcut for selecting all of a message or all of the text from top of the message to the bottom even if it’s not visible? Does that make sense like and easy way to instead of double tapping the screen to hold and start selecting (meaning it highlights the word and then say if u have a lot more than a paragraph or part of that is not visible u have to gradually slide up then highlight that big then gradually highlight that bit etc etc, if that makes sense? I’m not sure if typing the right way to explain it lol
