Apple Watch speaker distorted

This is just to help out anyone who may have the same issue. My apple watch 8 began sounding distorted after I had been wearing it a work for a while. Water wasn’t the issue and I try to keep it clean. I work in an environment with lots of metallic dust and found it had collected in the speaker grill. I was able to remove it by placing a magnet over the speaker and doing the water eject function numerous times. I was surprised at how much debris came out, and the speaker sounds good again!

Apple Watch Series 10 speaker not working properly I have taken my new (purchased Feb., 2025) Apple Watch Series 10 to Apple for repair four times due to the speaker not working correctly. I won’t go into all the details of what happened every time, but the speakers always stopped working within a week or two of getting the watch back. I got into this community today and read about cleaning out the speaker. I took a soft bristle toothbrush and did that and it worked! Thank you to everyone that posted about this issue and potential solutions. I’m disappointed with Apple for not coming up with a permanent fix for this persistent problem or doing a recall. I’m even more disappointed that the four different people I spoke with at the Apple Store were clearly clueless. Maybe I will go back and educate all of them. Now, I just need to carry the brush with me at all times😂

Apple Watch Ultra water in speaker Since I got my watch, even with the water lock on, I’ll get sweat or water in the speaker and it becomes very muffled. I try water eject and no luck. Dry towel, no luck. I used computer keyboard canned air and water comes flying out. Is this the only way to get water and sweat out of the speaker?

Unable to fix crackling sound issues on Apple Watch Series 10 I got my Apple Watch 10 for Christmas 12/25/24. After a few weeks I noticed my sound through the speakers sounded muffled. Then my notifications were barely noticeable despite having all volume controls at max and sound crackly. I took it in yesterday 03/04/25 and they ran diagnostics on it and said it was fine. I found an article today from idownloadblog (it won’t let me post the link) and others are having the same issue after a few weeks. I made another appointment today to see what they are going to do about it. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
