Troubleshooting a Lost Mac:

Find My can only be enabled directly on the Mac. It cannot be enabled elsewhere. So, learn from this, knowing to set Find My up, when you have a moment.

Check at the lost and found where you think you lost it. Check local police stations to see if anyone turned in a found computer.
