Apple Pencil pro not charging

I have had my pencil pro since the end of May. Got it like a week after getting my IPad Pro M4 11inch. Hardly ever used it, but would charge it when I got the notification that the battery on the pencil was low. The most I ever had it not charging is maybe 30 hours? The past few days it would show the battery going lower and lower despite having it on the iPad, but the notification would show up sporadically if I removed the pencil and placed it back on, making sure it was lined up properly. Last night, while off the charger a notification showed that it only had 4% left. This time it would not charge at all after placing it on the iPad. I went into settings, turned on/off Bluetooth, and restarted the iPad a few times. It never charged again. Last thing I did was “forget this device” and tried to re-pair it. Now, it won’t even reconnect. Doesn’t show up under other devices in the Bluetooth menu. Seems like it’s dead. Maybe it’s a bit crazy, but I noticed the behavior of the pencil about a week and a half ago, when I connected my AirPod pro 2nd gen. Anyone else having similar issues with their pencil pro?
