mac downloads

this is what it says every time i try to download anything on safari, it says this for everything i try to download on pinterest and for the sims

i recently got a hard drive so im wondering if its that? i’ve tried resetting multiple times, changing access but nothing is working, the downloads go to my downloads, but u can’t open anything up and doesn’t show up in any of my games
