Podcast downloads stuck in downloading state but never completes

for the last few days every time I look at my podcasts it’s constantly stuck in that downloading state but it never actually completes downloading. I have auto downloads on and have never had an issue until recently. Even if I stop the auto download and manually try and download an episode the same thing happens. I’ve got plenty of storage so it’s not that. Any help would be appreciated
