EFI are running recursively and using 98-99% CPU usage.

I'm using MAC OS 14.5 on iMac 24-inch M1, 2021. I tried to install EFI driver (Konica printer) and Command Workstation 6.2, and waited for it to automatic update to the newer version. The reason that I installed the older version of EFI software because I'm using this version on another iMac which running earlier of MacOS. After updated, The newer version of Command workstation is not support my Konica printer. So, I have to uninstall the newer version of software using EFI uninstaller. Which it worked just fine, but later on I'd found out that my iMac was running slower. So, I opened the Active monitor and looked for highest CPU usage. Then, the EFI processes were using 98-99% of CPU. At the end, I tried to move all of the EFI folders and icons to the trash and restarted, but it won't work. The EFI processes are still using 98-99% of the CPU.

Luckily, I found the way to remove the EFI processes in other topic 3 years ago, but apple community won't let me reply that topic. So, I write this one again in case that some people have tried to update EFI software version or MacOS version. Unfortunately, both of them will not support to their printers. Even they uninstall EFI software and delete all of the folders and icons in to the Trash, but the CPU are still running high. Here is the solution I found. First, I looked in the LauchDaemon. The list of daemons lives in the following locations:

  1. /System/Library/LaunchDaemons for native macOS processes.
  2. /Library/LaunchDaemons for installed third-party apps.

Second, Looking for the EFI .... plist. Then, you move it to the Trash and restart. Last but not list, try to restart and see the effect. If your CPU usage is coming back to normal, you can empty Trash later on.
