recording iphone video to an external drive/SD card

Hi all -

Is there a way to use the camera app in an iPhone to record to an external device, like a SSD or SD card? (Obviously, I would need some kind of lightning to USB/SATA adapter or something, probably with power integrated - I'm ok getting whatever extra hardware I need.)

The application would be filming multiple, long sets (like an hour+) of my band's performances, with limited space on my phone. My phone is a 12 mini btw.
