When I take my laptop away from office, all Apple mail email accounts lose there password connections

When I take my laptop away from my main office, all Apple mail email accounts lose there connections with a pop-up that says "Can't connect to the account 'email@email.com.' Enter the password for user 'email@email.com.'" When I add the correct password I get "Unable to verify account name and password."

Happens every time I leave the office on business and vacation. I have to go to my domain server and go into cpanel for the email, reenter my password a few times, turn the account on and off a few times in Apple mail and after awhile it connects. Since I run a small business I have a lot of email accounts set-up for my domain so this is a major problem.

I am running MacOS High Sierra since Adobe CS6 still runs on it,

It may be that High Sierra is just too old at this point. I recall around 4-5 years ago people started reporting problems accessing email if they were on High Sierra or earlier versions of macOS (regardless of the email app they used or the email provider). "Unable to verify account name and password" was the characteristic complaint.

It turned out that many if not all of the email providers had upgraded to a newer login security scheme (I think it was called OATH 2) that older email apps & OS's didn't support. Some users were able to get around this by using app-specific passwords but others were not.

I know that in my case, both Outlook & Apple Mail on High Sierra stopped working with my email accounts at hotmail, yahoo & verizon. I ended up having to switch to webmail until I upgraded my own Macs to Catalina & newer versions of Outlook & Apple Mail.

What I said above may not be fully technically correct, but you get the idea. I suggest figuring out a way to upgrade or replace your Mac. I, too, still use CS6 but it's on an older Mac that I kept so I could keep using CS6 on it. On my newer Macs I upgraded to Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom CC.
