Profile picture for Apple ID inconsistent/ disappearing across devices.

So I had to wipe my M1 MacBook Air (because apple makes it impossible to delete big programs) When I first logged on it had the same profile picture for my Apple ID that is on my phone and iPad. Now it is a generic fox icon, when I go on the MacBook and try to change it in settings my original picture isn't there. It's still there on my iPhone. Very frustrating how I have a picture I want to use with my Apple ID and apple can't get it right. It should automatically be available with every device.

Also when I try to add a picture it's a pain in the behind because I can't organize by different albums, I have to scroll through 3000 pictures. Frustrating.

Take a photo of yourself and save it in downloads in a folder or move it to iCloud or back it up to a external SSD or HD and it will also be backed up with TimeMachine or if your running it or a third party app like Carbon Copy Cloner. That way you don't have to look through 3000 photos to find it.

Well just to see if my comment below worked I did a test yesterday. It didn't. It use to sync across devices. So what I did is put the photo on my Mac profile into Photos and put it onto all my profiles on my other Mac , my old iPhone as well as new and on my old iPad as well as new.
