How can I update my iPhone 11 to iOS 15?

It's no longer possible to install 15 on an iPhone 11. To update to 17.5.1, use a computer or the Software Update function in Settings.

When you update the software on an iPhone, the most recent version of iOS will be installed. No other options will be available.

For an iPhone 11, that would be iOS 17.5.1 at this time.

Make sure that you have a good Wi-Fi connection and the battery is fully charged.

Methods of Updating an iPhone 11:

A. Update Using a Computer:

Have a Computer Handy? If so, try using a computer to update. Go here: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip. If any updates are availabe, they will install, sure enough.

B. Connecting Using Ethernet:

If WiFi is giving you issues on the computer, then connect through Ethernet, going directly into your router. For a Mac (or PC) that does not have Ethernet, this would be the adapter to use: Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

Clarify this:

Just curious: What's so special about iOS 15.1 that you want to upgrade to that, and nothing else? Having incompatibility issues?
