Apple Watch mirroring

I use Apple Watch mirroring while I run on the treadmill. This allows me to see the workout app screen from my Apple Watch on my iPhone which I place on the treadmill stand, saving me from glancing at my watch every few seconds to check my heart rate. However, after a few minutes the screen mirroring automatically turns itself off. How can I turn this feature off so Apple screen mirroring only turns off when I turn it off?

If the popup for Apple Watch mirroring closes on your iPhone during your treadmill workouts, here are some steps to try and resolve this issue:

1. Keep the iPhone Screen Active:

• Go to Settings, then Display & Brightness, and then Auto-Lock.

• Set Auto-Lock to Never. This will keep the screen on and may help prevent the mirroring popup from closing.

2. Restart Both Devices:

• Restart your Apple Watch and iPhone. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve issues.

3. Check for Updates:

• Ensure both your iPhone and Apple Watch have the latest software updates. Go to Settings, then General, and then Software Update on your iPhone and on your Apple Watch.

4. Disable Background App Refresh:

• Go to Settings, then General, and then Background App Refresh on your iPhone and disable it for apps that might interfere with the mirroring.

5. Use Airplane Mode (with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on):

• Enable Airplane Mode on your iPhone and then manually turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This can reduce interruptions from other notifications or connectivity issues.

6. Keep Your Devices Close:

• Ensure that your Apple Watch and iPhone remain within close range of each other to maintain a stable connection.

7. Disable Raise to Wake:

• Go to Settings, then Display & Brightness, and then Raise to Wake on your iPhone and turn it off. This can sometimes prevent unintended interactions.
